Liar Liar
A lie is simply the rejection of the truth.
Lets take a quick look at how a lie becomes a part of our lives:
James 1:14-16 NIV
THE PROCESS OF THE LIE
We listen to the lie
We dwell on the lie.

THE PURPOSE OF THE LIE

TO DISCREDIT GOD. - Genesis 3:1-5 NIV
TO DISGUISE HIS PURPOSES. - Luke 4:5-7 NIV
TO DECEIVE MAN. - 2 Corinthians 11:3 NIV
TO DIVIDE GOD’S PEOPLE. 2 Corinthians 2:11 NIV
THE SOLUTION = Confront his lies with The Truth
1. God’s Grace is Enough for me. (2 Corinthians 12:9, 1 John 1:7, Romans 6:6-7)
2. God CAN be trusted. (Isaiah 38:16, Hebrews 13:5, Psalm 22:5, 56:3)
3. I am important to God. (Psalm 139:14, Matthew 10:29-31)
4. God is GOOD. (Psalm 119:68, Psalm 103, Psalm 136:1, Romans: 32, 38-39)
5. It’s really not all about me, but about Him. (Colossians 1:16-18, Revelation 4:11, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
6. God’s Word is sufficient to Lead Me, Teach Me, Heal Me. (Psalm 19:7, 107:20, 119:105)
7. Through the power of The Holy Spirit God enables me to do ANYTHING He commands me to do. (Acts 1:8, Philippians 2:13, Ephesians 3:16, Zechariah 4:6)
8. I NEED The Church. (Ephesians 2:19-22, 5:25, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Hebrews 10:25)
9. God is more concerned about changing me and growing me than He is about JUST solving my problems. (Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:26-27)
10. My past DOES NOT have to control my future. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Philippians 3:12-14)
