WONDER Part 4: Generosity
Isaiah 9:6 (“wonderful” = something great, marvelous, an extraordinary thing)
Deity was invested in Humanity...empowering us to live lives that are Extraordinary. All of this came about because of God's great Generosity!
The fourth Wonder is...
Generosity
“Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...”
God has been generous to us!
-
God gave us existence, life, purpose, opportunity.
-
God gave us his laws, commandments and his will for our lives. (Mankind continued to go their own way)
-
God gave us prophets who promised us a Savior and Redeemer who would rescue us from our sins.
-
Then he gave us his Son...a child born in Bethlehem...Jesus...to Show us Himself, lift our faith, reveal his will and finally bear our sins on the cross.

God gave us the gift Salvation, Forgiveness, New Birth

God gave us his Holy Spirit to indwell each of us.
-
God gave every one of us new purpose, new power and new potential to use for him.
-
God gave every one of us gifts, talent and tools.
-
God gives us resources, possessions, finances.
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits.
Matthew 5:45
Your Father...maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

God...giveth us richly all things to enjoy:
John 1:16 Message
We all live off his generous bounty, gift after gift after gift.
Everything we get from God is his Gift! It's Free!
Why has He given us so much? Why so generous to us?
Because He's generous by nature...and He wants to inspire us to be generous like him!
John 10:10
Satan is a taker. God is a giver.
Satan kills. God gives life.
Satan destroys. God multiplies.
Satan is stingy. God is generous.
We were made to be like God.

We should be generous in our attitudes, compassion, forgiveness and love.

We should be generous with our time, talents and treasure.
-
We should be generous in pouring God into people!
We should practice Generosity for two huge reasons!

Generosity reveals God to the world!
Our Generosity reveals lives that are Extraordinary! Extraordinary lives reveal a Humanity that has been invested with Deity!
When you and I live generous lives...we show forth the Wonder of Christ and of Christianity! -
Generosity releases God's blessing to us!
Proverbs 11:24-25 NLT
Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous shall prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Proverbs 11:24-25 Message
The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.
