WONDER Part 1 - Deity
Isaiah 9:6 (“wonderful” = something great, marvelous, an extraordinary thing, something difficult and hard to understand)
To a child...Christmas is a time of Wonder!
Deity!
Deity is another word for divinity. Isaiah said that a child would be born who among other things would be Wonderful, The mighty God and The Everlasting Father (literally, “Father of Eternity”). “Deity was invested into infancy"

It is wrong and idolatrous for a man to worship another mere human being! In the Bible, godly men never let other men worship them as is shown in Acts 10, Revelation 19 and 22. Yet Jesus accepted the worship of his friends and followers!

Thomas openly confessed belief in Christ's deity when he saw the nail prints in his hands. “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus emphatically declared himself to be divine, to be God...to be deity as he gave John the Revelation.
Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
If Jesus is not deity...

Then he is a liar, an imposter, a deciever

Or...he is deluded himself, insane, confused.

Or...just a regular guy who was greatly mistaken.
But Jesus is deity...He is God! The Savior of the World!
What a wonder...that an infant born in Bethlehem was in reality The Infinite God!
What a wonder...that The Almighty who sustains the universe was himself sustained at an earthly mothers' breast.
What a wonder...that the Deity of Heaven came down to the Dust of humanity...
What a wonder...that Deity has became knowable, touchable, and a whole lot more understandable.

No wonder he could heal sick bodies

No wonder he could raise the dead
-
No wonder he could multiply bread and fish
-
No wonder he knew what was in man
-
No wonder he was at peace in the Judgment Hall of Pilate
- No wonder he was able to face and embrace the cross with such peace and bravery...
What a wonder...that God loved us enough to become One of us...so that we could become One with him!
