Passage: Psalms 33:4

Recent Surveys show that Among born again believers…
- 79% say they believe the Bible is accurate in all the principles it teaches.
But…
- Only 62% believe Jesus lived a sinless life.
- Only 46% believe in absolute truth.
- Only 40% believe Satan is a real person or force, not a symbol.
- Only 42% believe the Holy Spirit is a real person or force, not a symbol.
- 53% think it possible for a person to enter heaven through good behavior.
79% of Christians may say they believe the Bible is accurate, but are they reading it?
I fear they’ve lost the book!
- The average person on the street can name more brands of beer than they can the 10 commandments.
- Our churches are filled with people who don’t know that it’s wrong to have sexual intimacy outside of marriage…and if they know it persist in doing it anyway.
- Church members and leaders today frequently drink to the point of drunkenness, flirt with other peoples spouses, curse and lie.
I fear we’ve lost the book!
As in the days of Josiah, it’s the Book that will make the difference in our lives!
It’s the Book that Makes a Difference!
Psalm 119:1-12, 16, 17-18, 24, 25, 42, 45, 50, 89, 105, 130, 133, 162, 165
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right…
And the Word will rectify our lives.
Where is your Bible?
- Laying in the floorboard of your car?
- Crammed to the back of the drawer in your nightstand?
- Kicked underneath the bed?
- Fallen off of the television laying between the entertainment center and the wall?
- Did you leave it somewhere?
Do you know where your Bible is!...Or have you lost the book?
It should be…
- Read every day.
- Brought to church every weekend.
- Referred to in every battle of life.
- Quoted in every trial.
- Believed in every situation.
- Confessed in every fight of faith.
- Preached, taught, expounded and explained at every opportunity
- Laying in your lap in the house of God.

2. Not knowing the Bible leads people into error.

Jesus was and is a Bible Believer!
So was the Apostle Peter!
