Real Ministry
Mark 3:13-15
Here Jesus appointed the very first Christian ministers.
Here we find a simple definition of real ministry.
To be with Jesus
To teach God’s word
To impart wholeness and freedom
Jesus initially invited 12 people to be a fellowship group and a ministry team.
(They connected with each other…then they served together in reaching others!)
This is our model at Victory Church!
Jesus taught and trained them from the ground up, later making 11 of the 12 to be the Apostles (primary leaders) of his church.
But at first, they were simply followers learning how to be with him and how to connect with each another, helping Jesus announce and teach God’s word and impart wholeness and freedom.
The 12 didn’t start out as Apostles…but as Helpers!
They helped Jesus in many practical ways…
Traveling Companions, Transportation team, Ushers, Set Up team, Food ministry volunteers, Advance team, etc.
This is real ministry too!
Because, practical help is needed to Teach and impart wholeness and freedom.

Ephesians 4:11-15
We are the body of Christ! And by serving together we become Jesus to our community…We grow up into Him.
This is real ministry!
