Living from the Heart 2

Romans 10:8-10
A person’s heart must be involved in receiving salvation.
(..with the heart man believes.)
Your heart is your spirit and soul, your inward man.
(2 Cor. 4:16 “..though the outward man perish the inward man is renewed day by day.”)

We live from our hearts.
Whether we live in sin and rebellion or in faith and righteousness, we live it from our hearts.
Matt. 15:18 Those things that come out of our mouth from our heart
                   defile us.
Heb. 3:10 When we err, we err from the heart.
Heb. 3:12 An evil heart is one of unbelief.

Jesus said, that we are to love the Lord with all of our heart!
Christianity is to be lived from the heart…not just our head…not just our emotions…from our inward man.

Mark 11:22-24
A persons heart must be involved in the exercise of faith.

2 Corinthians 3:14-16
When our heart is turned toward God, the veil of blindness is taken away.

Matthew 18:35 says we must forgive the trespasses of our brothers from our hearts.
(forgiveness must come from the heart just like unforgiveness is a product of the heart.)

Eph. 5:19 We are to sing and worship God from our heart.
2 Cor. 9:7 As a man purposes in his heart, let him give.
Eph. 6:6 We are to do God’s will from the heart.
1 Thess. 2:17 We are to love our brother from our heart.
1 Tim. 1:5 We are to love from a pure heart.
2 Tim. 2:22 We are to call upon God out of a pure heart.
Heb. 10:22 We draw near to God with a true (truthful, as not concealing anything) heart.

So, how can we care for and protect our heart?

Proverbs 4:20-23

Fill you heart with God’s Word.
A good man, out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things.  Matt. 12:35

1 John 3:21
To condemn = “to find fault with”
(This could be true conviction or false guilt)
Don’t allow guilt, condemnation, blame or shame to stay in your heart.


Philippians 4:6-7
Pray and believe your way through life.
