Dare to Dream 1
America was discovered, settled and established by dreamers!
The true American dream always was and always will be “Freedom”! As Americans and Christians we should pray to never lose our freedom or our ability to dream!
Acts 2:17 KJV
And it shall come to pass in the last days saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
The Holy Spirit inspires Words, Visions and Dreams from God.
1 Kings 3:5 KJV
…the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream
John 10:10 Message
A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
Malachi 3:10 Message
Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.
Mark 4:20 Message
But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.

Psalm 14:5 Message
Do you think you can mess with the dreams of the poor? You can’t, for God makes their dreams come true.
Are you a dreamer?
Life has a way of beating the dream out of you doesn’t it!
I believe God wants some of us to dream again.
He wants others to dream big…bigger than you’ve ever dreamed.
I dare you to dream!
• What would you want to do in life if you knew you could not fail?
• What would you do in life, if you could do anything that God would want you to do?
I dare you to dream and dream big!
Dream a dream big enough that it requires God to make it come true.
Dreams can be literal God given dreams in the night…or the realization of some life purpose that God puts in your heart.
To have a dream empowers a person to live life to the fullest!
When Jesus came into the World, He came with a dream!
(To save us, free us, change us, to destroy the works of the devil.)
His dream didn’t come to pass over night, but he believed in his dream, kept his dream, and fulfilled his dream by God’s power and grace! His dream empowered him to fulfill his grand purpose!
Let’s read about another man with a dream. Abraham.
Genesis 15:1-6 NKJV
1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
2 But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”
3 Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”
4 And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”
5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
Abram had a dream. (He was about 85)
To have a child, a baby, an heir of all he had.
God had a dream too.
To birth a nation and a people that would be heir to all he had.
Abram had a problem.
He wasn’t dreaming big enough. He wasn’t dreaming God’s dream.
He wasn’t dreaming as big as God wanted him to dream.
God wanted to change Abram’s dream…to His dream
To do this, He had to change Abram’s thinking.
The same is true for us.
Abram asked…”Lord God, what will you give me?
God gave Abram a child in his old age that would become a mighty nation.
But first, he had to dare Abram to Dream…big!
First of all God got Abram to look out!
Look Out
Verse 5…Then He (God) brought him (Abram) outside…
Abram was in a tent. We can be in a tent of…
• Confinement in our ability to dream or comprehend something different than our immediate surroundings.
Our present situation can feel secure…but actually be secure like a jail cell.
• Comfort in what we know. We can be so comfortable in our tent that we don’t dream beyond it.
• Convenience. It’s much easier to stay inside our tent than to venture outside.
Let’s look out…outside of what we know and into what God knows!
Look Up
Verse 5…Look now toward heaven…
Some people spend their whole life…looking down.
Looking up represents…
• Confidence in God
Matt. 19:26 …with God all things are possible.
• Confidence in Yourself
Philippians 4:17 …I can do all things through Christ which stengtheneth me.
If God’s going to use someone, if God’s going to cause someone’s dreams to come true, it might as well be you!
Look Beyond
Verse 5…count the stars if you are able to number them…
Looking beyond represents…
• Looking beyond our limitations
Eph. 3:20 …he is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think according to the power that works in us…
Abram had to look beyond his past experience
beyond his aged body
beyond his wife’s aged body
God inspired Abram to look beyond his natural, earthly, usual power, circumstances, ability, intellect, money, position, resources…to God’s!
Don’t look at your limitations but at your possibilities.
(U.S. did this when deciding to go to the moon.)
• Stretching our faith
Abraham believed in the Lord…
This was his first step toward dreaming big!
I dare you to begin to dream today by believing the Lord!
Look Out of your circumstances and situation…
Look Up toward God…
Look Beyond your ability and see God’s ability and power available to you!
