Choices Part 1
Moses encouraged the Israelites to worship, honor and obey God by faith…To walk in the Covenant He had made with them…to be His people and allow Him to be their God.
He told them that what they chose to do with God and His Covenant would decide their destiny!
Deuteronomy 30:15-20
God offered Israel… Life or Death…Blessing or Cursing…And He told them to make the choice!
Here are two things that are subject to our choice!
Whether we will live forever…or die forever.
Whether we will be blessed…or cursed.
God has given human beings the power to make choices.
Your present life reflects your past choices!
Joshua 24:14-15
Joshua and his family had made their choice! Have you?
Proverbs 1:27-33
Here, God shows that choosing the fear (reverence) of God is necessary if we want God to be consistently available to us in times of trouble.
People have the power to make choices.
Isaiah 7:14-16
Learning to choose that which is good is a normal part of the growth and maturation process of a human being.
God recognizes the power of a person’s choice.
This is never more clear than in what the Bible says about choosing eternal life over eternal death.
John 3:16, 18, 36
People have been given the responsibility of belief!
Belief is a choice.
Luke 13:1-5
People have been given responsibility of repentance.
Repentance is a choice.
Revelation 22:17
We have a responsibility to take the water of life.
This also is a choice.
