Passage: Mark 5:25-34
Changing Reality
Mark 5:25-34
We who believe in God and his interaction in our lives are often told to “get real”!
Sometimes when we are trusting God for a miracle or an answer to prayer, we’re accused of “being in denial”
In fact, many people, both believers and non-believers deny reality from time to time.
(What some people smell…just isn’t cooking…Some people live life assuming they’ll get lucky someday…They’re waiting for their ship to come in…but they’ve never sent one out!)
They live in fantasy, but we must deal with reality
Things are what they are…not what we want them to be!
True Christianity does not deny reality!
The Bible teaches us to embrace reality.
Proverbs 1:4 Message
A manual for living,
for learning what's right and just and fair;
To teach the inexperienced the ropes
and give our young people a grasp on reality.
Proverbs 23:35 Amp
You will say, They struck me, but I was not hurt! They beat me [as with a hammer], but I did not feel it! When shall I awake? I will crave and seek more wine again [and escape reality].
Ecclesiastes 7:18 Message
It's best to stay in touch with both sides of an issue. A person who fears God deals responsibly with all of reality, not just a piece of it.
Amos 5:20 Message
At God's coming we face hard reality, not fantasy—
Ephesians 4:18 Message
And so I insist—and God backs me up on this—that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd. They've refused for so long to deal with God that they've lost touch not only with God but with reality itself.
Romans 13:11 Amp
Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed
John 4:24 Amp
God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).

Believing God can change your reality!
Jesus said,
“Whatever you ask for in prayer believing…you shall receive.”
“Whatever you desire, when you pray believe you receive it and you shall have it.
“Whosoever shall say to this mountain, be though removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.”
“All things are possible to him who believes”
