INTERCESSORY PRAYER
Wow, what an intimidating word – intercessory!! But in reality it’s praying on behalf as others. As that, it is an activity that identifies us with Christ. Hebrews 7:25 says, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” To be an intercessor is to be like Jesus because that is what Jesus is like. He always interceding to God on our behalf.
We have been praying on Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm the past few weeks. If you’ve been to a service lately, you know, we have a lot of things going on and therefore, a lot of things to be praying for and about. And Gary Brothers recently came and taught us on a Wednesday night how to pray for our pastors also.
So, we are taking to heart Ephesians 6:12 – “for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.” S.D. Gordon said, “You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.” If you have any questions, please contact Lavon @359-9463 or at .
